  2. How do you milk a cow? You go to the grocery store, open the cooler, and pull out a jug. Then you put it in the cart and walk up to the check-out clerk to pay for it. Easy! Sheesh!

My question is "how do you milk an alligator"??

  3. Oh, THAT was rich! Whole Milk not skim! Talk about your C-A-L-C-I-U-M!! YeeeeHawwwww!

This city gal thought that was hilarious!

Parker has cows in front of his school. That's as close as country as this family has ever been. YET! Oh, well... not to mention the deer all over the yard. But, we can't eat them for dinner otherwise we'll get arrested.

  4. Heidi...I would not have expected any other answer from you?

Have you ever seen a cow up close and personal? A chicken? Rooster? Ever been to a farm? I don't mean a petting zoo...but a real farm?

  5. Camey...cows in front of his school? I guess that's appropriate for Texas! After all, they would like everyone to go on to college and major in ag!

  8. Steve: Well since you asked. I grew up in Ohio. I have 2 uncles who own lots O' land and both have barns on them (gasp). One has goats. The other has horses. You don't milk horses, but you can milk goats if you are so inclined. I grew up smelling manure in the mornings and skunks at night. My dad and uncles and brothers have killed more deer than I can count and I've seen my fair share of bloody carcasses hanging in the garage. I've eaten deer, rabbit, squirrel, and freshly caught trout from Lake Erie.

This "country" girl decided years ago she prefers the city. But you can take the girl out of the country, however you cannot take the country out of the girl. ;)

  9. Heidi...I think you're just about ready to return to your roots! I can see you know, with your two littles ones (and soon a third) knee deep in manure!
