Knowledge.
Knowledge is a good thing.
Most of the time, that is.
Knowledge can also be dangerous.
Or, better yet, a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous.
Should a “Monday Morning Quarterback” be given the same attention as Drew Brees, for example?
I don’t think so.
Yet, so often, we give people a job or we think more highly of them based upon what they say, how they look, or even what they claim to know.
I have a real problem with that.
People should be rewarded for what they really know and not what they say they know.
