Resignation.
Normally considered negative. We hear resignation as meaning quitting. Giving up. Giving in. Giving out.
But, does resignation have to be defined that way.
No.
Anne Sophie Swetchine said “resignation is putting God between ourselves and our troubles.”
I like that definition.
I often find myself needing to resign. Not giving up or quitting. But, putting God between my will and troubles.
In truth, isn’t that where God deserves to be in the first place? I have to learn to stop doing everything else first and learn to put God in first place.
I think it’s time to resign.
