We search for meaning.
We try to give meaning to how we live.
We hope meaning will be found in our testimony.
Yet, true meaning often alludes us.
Ernest Hemingway said, “Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.”
Another way to say that is found on a tombstone: –.
Life’s meaning is determined by what happens on either side of the dash.
We are created the same.
We die the same.
It’s how we live that gives meaning to life.
