Joy Comes in the Morning--100 Words

Joy comes in the morning.

Don’t believe me?

It’s right there in the Bible: “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5 KJV).

Has to be true, right? It’s in the Bible! In the king’s own English!

The Gaithers sing about it. Choirs across America sing about it. Even Jimmy Swaggart sings about it.

It must be true!

Unless you aren’t joyful. Then, you find yourself asking, “Which morning?”

Hold on. Today may be anything but joyful!

God. Return our joy. Please!

  1. This has always been a well claimed verse for me. Especially the years when the girls were babies and the days were sometimes long. I would tell Ken we've got to go to bed early tonight because Joy is coming in the morning and I can hardly wait to see it! God was and is so faithful and I find to this day even if for only the first five minutes of the day I focus on HIM and not me, myself and I that I have that JOY that comes from a daily walk with my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that even a small dose of Joy can get you through whatever comes your way during the day! I have also discovered that if I share my Joy God multiplies it back to me. Thanks Steve for sharing and bringing back all those wonderful memories of counting it all joy! Praying for you and your sweet family to have a JOY filled day!
