I've decided to take a walk to explore the world around me. If you'd like to come along, I'll share my thoughts with you on what I've found on this journey.

The Verdict is In--The Ears Have It
Well, the verdict is in! After 5 ear infections in the last couple of months, it is time for Evan to have tubes put in!
I took Evan to the doctor early this morning, and with little surprise, he has another ear infection! The doctor said, "Yes, it's time!"
So, early Monday morning, my little buddy will have a 4 minute procedure to place tubes in his ears.
What is it with Mondays and the Heartsill family!
Anyway, keep him in your prayers. And, since you will be praying anyway, remember Evan's mother and father as well...we'll need your prayers as well...we're kind of fond of the little guy, if you can't tell!

I'm a 3/4 full kind of guy - your Monday turned out well, so there's no reason why Evan's won't either!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I mentioned before - it's 4min because it's routine, and many, MANY kids need them. I've had my share of difficult procedures (posting on that tomorrow) as well as some that my daughter had to go through as an infant - maybe I'll blog on that sometime - but you will be in my prayers at that time.
Thanks Will...I'm not very nervous, my wife is. It is for Evan's best...we know that...and it should provide great relief for him...
ReplyDeleteBut, prayers are always appreciated!
Aw, poor little guy (as my daughter was just calling him when she saw his picture). We'll be praying for him.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karma! And, thank your daughter!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, get rid of that sweater. The kid is going to be really ticked off at you for dressing him in that Yuppy thing later in life. If Tonya dressed him, then nevermind he looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be praying -- guarantee it. I have friends whose children had this done too. They are all fine. Don't worry.
Heidi
I knew when our little Annie had her tubes put in it was a simple procedure and she would come out of it fine but that didn't stop me from being concerned. Praying for you and your familiy, dude.
ReplyDeleteIt will make his life SO MUCH BETTER! But, we'll be praying just the same!
ReplyDelete(I agree with the sweater comments)
Okay one and all...you are going to feel really, really, really bad about your comments! Do you think I am stupid enough to attempt to dress Evan?
ReplyDeleteThat's all Tonya...doesn't he look much more handsome now!
Hang in there. Will pray for you and him.
ReplyDeleteI about choked when I read Heidi's comment about the sweater and her addendum. We were blessed that neither of ours had to have tubes but will be praying for Evan and his parents that day.
ReplyDeletePraying more for Evan's parents than Evan.. he'll be just fine!
ReplyDeleteActually I do feel badly if it hurt Tonya's feelings. He is adorable with or without his Tommy Hilfiger on. ;)
ReplyDeleteHeidi
Heidi...Tonya is fine (she didn't read the comments anyway, and I'm not telling!)...
ReplyDeleteBut, no TH on our boy...it's actually from a consignment store, and probably cost $1 or $2, not more...we are more into cost than style...might as well be, Evan would rather go naked anyway, so no need to spend too much money on him!
